Kids ATC contribution - oil pastel
A few days ago, my son received a letter in the mail. He was very excited! We couldn't figure out who had sent him something, not recognizing the handwriting (child's) or the return address.

1st card received: 'Crazy Car' by Anna. Thanks, Anna!
Hmmm...well that didn't stop him from tearing it open. It was his 1st card from the Kids ATC Swap.

Another little work of art waiting to be sent out...
Immediately afterwards, he got to work on the 5 he will send out.
His medium of choice: colored pencil (on one) and oil pastel.
All my children enjoy art and being creative, but to different degrees and in various ways. This one enjoys art sporadically: at times in a sort of passionate, full-frontal-attack, quick with lots of color and humor while other times in a very quiet, gentle, methodical fashion. Can you guess which method he chose for these?

A little of both, actually. And as a bonus to the ATC swap, one lucky participant will get a...
self-portrait! (his idea)
Another added benefit of the swap? A renewed interest in checking the mailbox daily! To quote him, "I love this swap...this is fascinating!"
Thanks, Erin & Blair!
