Right now I'm enjoying:
watching my youngest helping with yardwork (mowing the lawn and finally putting away the garden bins for the season)
the rain on our black peppers (one of the few plants left in said garden)
a simple throw-together supper of tortilla soup with black beans
a 2nd blue vase of wildflowers (this time Lady's Thumb which some say is an edible weed!?)
recent visitors to our new bird feeder (and learning the different songs or calls they make)
another simple supper of potatoes, tomatoes & zucchini in a vegetable tian
baking and eating more yummy pumpkin chocolate chip muffins for breakfasts and snacks
glimpsing the first hints of Autumn's colors (and waiting for more!)

Ellen, I have made the apple cake you posted about twice with plans on making another today, but now I think I'll pop the muffins you just posted about in the oven. My guy's just adore you! Thank you and I hope you have a lovely day. xx

Those black peppers look gorgeous. I have never heard of such a thing. Pumpkin-chip muffins on the other hand are a staple around here year-round!

Pumpkin-chip muffins...sounds so rich and so yummy! I'll have to try them with gluten free flour. Probably won't taste the same but with chocolate chips, it'll be close. Great photos to show the beginning of fall. Hugs,
