(Kristen, no peeking!)
I finally, finally, finally finished the Mei Tai last evening. No, not this one, which I usually associate with the name (different spelling, I know), but a baby carrier by this talented woman. I don't know why it took me so long. Nerves? Nervous about making something that's supposed to be carrying a baby. This is not a blanket or cute little shirt...this is so that Hans won't fall out and bump his head! So I sewed several more X's on it than was called for in the pattern and added another line of topstitching all round. Whew!
reminds me an octopus with only 4 tentacles
As for monkey food? Just a silly way to show ...
Makes 24 muffins
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1 stick butter, melted
5-6 bananas
1/2 tsp cinnamon or garam masala (optional) - play around
Grease 24 muffin tins or use paper liners. Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix flour, baking soda, salt & sugar in 1 bowl. In small bowl beat eggs. Add to dry stuff along with butter & bananas. Stir with spoon. Divide into tins. Bake about 20 min. (check on them)
Very sweet, moist & easy to make.
Enjoy!

i totally understand your feelings about the baby carrier! for a long time i felt unsure even about making clothes for tiny people. i always think nothing is good enough or safe enough for them! i am sure your carrier is sturdy enough, though. looks pretty, too!
